After failing to support Trump’s healthcare bill and repeal Obamacare, President Trump ratcheted up his pressure on lawmakers to pass a healthcare plan with a threat to cancel some Obamacare payments and end their healthcare benefits.
“If a new HealthCare Bill is not approved quickly, BAILOUTS for Insurance Companies and BAILOUTS for Members of Congress will end very soon!” President Trump announced via tweet.

By the term ending Obamacare payments, the president was referring to insurance companies under Obamacare known as Cost Sharing Reduction CSR payments.
Members of the Congress and many officials were removed from Federal Employee Health Benefits structure and put into the new insurance exchanges set up by Obamacare in 2010.
Trump’s tweet comes after the GOP effort to finally make good on the seven-year campaign promise to repeal and replace Obamacare collapsed on the Senate floor this week.
Conservative groups such as Heritage Action have decried the Obama-era rule:
“Senators should finally subject themselves to the same burdens imposed upon their constituents,” Michael Needham, Heritage Action’s president wrote.
But, fortunately, we have a real president in the White House right now that is willing to end it once and for all. This is why we elected, and this is why we will still support President Trump – he puts We The People in front of everyone!
What do you think about this? Do you support President Trump’s decision to cancel their healthcare benefits?
